Benitec is a ribonucleic acid interference (RNAi)-based therapeutics company using its deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-directed RNA interference (ddRNAi) technology to develop therapies for the treatment of life threatening diseases.
The Company’s primary therapeutic program focuses on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Its other projects are in the area of infectious diseases and cancer.
It also licenses its technology outside of its in-house programs in order to generate revenue to support its corporate and operational activities.
