DendriMed Pty Ltd is a Brisbane based Company founded in 2007, that specialises in the development of a unique nanotechnology based drug delivery platform. DendriMed recently completed a round of investment with Uniseed Pty Ltd. The Company has a proprietary technology platform and plans to operate primarily by licensing the technology to biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
The technology is derived from work done by Associate Professor Michael Monteiro of the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), The University of Queensland. This novel drug delivery platform has distinct advantages over existing technologies by employing a ‘plug and play’ library approach in which a “tool kit” of functionalised polymers and linkers can be assembled into a dendritic (multiply branched) architecture.
