Healthlinx's principal activities include the clinical validation of OvPlex an early stage ovarian cancer diagnostic, establishing distribution channels for OvPlex in Australia, Singapore and the United Kingdom, and progressing the pre-clinical development of the Vascular Permeability (CR014) assets.

The Company’s ovarian cancer diagnostic OvPlex, targets early stage (Stage I/II) ovarian cancer and the Company has completed a Phase 2 biomarker trial - it is a market that has no "silver bullet" non-invasive product yet. The OvPlex program has involved: the identification and validation of ovarian cancer biomarkers; evaluating the performance of multimarker diagnostic panels; and the development and implementation of new pathology information management systems.

Currently the test performs at a diagnostic efficiency of 92%, and the Company is now working to increase performance to better than 97% and is specifically targeting the detection of early stage disease. This will be achieved through the validation of the new biomarkers HTX005 and HTX010 (that the Company announced in December 2008) and will be completed as part of the current multinational Phase II trial that is being planned for later the 2009 calendar year.

Proaegis Biosciences Limited is the subsidiary of the Company.
